I already accept credit cards or have a POS. Do I need hippo?
Yes, in addition to credit card processing, hippo provides online menus for customer order ahead and pickups. Your business will be displayed on our exclusive food truck marketplace and allow customers to see your location, ratings, hours of operations, and more!
Do I need to purchase any hardware?
No, we offer hardware-free processing and accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. We will print, laminate, and deliver a custom QR code flier that customers can scan to pay so that you can stop wasting time swiping cards!
How will I receive my orders?
All orders will be sent as a text message to the truck operators and include order and payment details. Up to three employees can receive order texts!
What are the credit card processing fees?
We currently partner with Stripe Payments. Their standard credit card processing fees of 2.9% + 30¢ apply. There are no fees for use of hippo software and products. All payments are transferred directly to your connected bank account in 1-2 business days!
What if I need technical support?
We assign every food truck a personal representative to be available for support. You can always call, text, or email us if you need anything at all!
How can I access my account?
You can access your hippo admin account via your desktop or mobile device anytime anywhere. Simply log-in with your email and password on any web browser to make menu changes, view order history, create QR codes, track customers, and more!
Can I cancel any time?
With hippo, there is no contract so there’s nothing to cancel. Simply de-activate your menu from our platform and remove your truck flier at any time without trouble. If you are not processing orders, you are not paying credit card fees. It’s that simple!
